Surplus Brood Releases

The Fraser Valley Trout Hatchery has completed its catchable rainbow trout stockings in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley for 2011. Many thanks to staff at the hatchery for doing them and providing ongoing release updates on our website.
Between now and mid January 2012, the hatchery will be releasing surplus broods into Green Timbers, Lafarge and Mill Lakes. Surplus broods at fish that have been used for spawning at the hatchery and they usually weigh over 2kg.
