Braided River

A braided river is a system that has several small channels flowing through its valley, or a large channel with many small islands, resulting in several smaller channels in one system. Braided channels are often found in the lower section of the river as the valley widens. The islands and channels are not static, instead they shift slowly over time due to the movement of gravel caused by the river flow.
