Island 22 Vehicle Traffic Closure

Island 22 in Chilliwack is closed to vehicle traffic from February 1st to February 17th (Monday – Friday only) while park improvements take place. A bike park is being constructed, which will be located on the north side of the dike adjacent to the gatehouse. This will not interfere with the boat launch or the equestrian area once completed.
Island 22 is a popular access point to the Fraser River for salmon and sturgeon anglers who launch their boats in this park.
Fraser Valley Regional District apologizes for any inconvenience. Please keep in mind the park will operate under its regular hours on weekends.
