Not a fan of the present day wrestling as am spoiled watching it back in the 1960s & early 70s.
A match would have the rough stuff & breaking the rules ( choke, trunks, hair pulling, pulling the rope to increase leverage, eye gouging, ramming guy's head into the steel post, throwing salt in eyes, use tag team rope to choke, bring foreign object into the ring to jab the guy, on & on. ) but a match had a whole variety of wrestling holds.
60-80% of a match had wrestling holds & the other 20-40% the match had the punching kicking on & on.
Sadly where today's wrestling from the opening bell it's all kick punch choke..at least 80% of the match.
Mind you the very dangerous high risk moves these guys perform ( ladder matches or flips or jumping over the top ropes & landing outside the ring ) no wonder a lot of them come down with very serious injures. Many had to retire early because of injury.
But wrestling is what it is.
On a side note the WWE is wrong to ban Hogan.
He was their top star for so many years.
It really robs the fans of his past wrestling matches. Think the WWE will not show any of his past matches.
He apologized on his neg. comments he said at an heated emotional moment.
Gee so many retired wrestlers have come out in public media & have said & used tons of swear words etc...temper tandems " you son of a b...." said 20x
Anyways will watch some matches on occasion. They are tough as nails that's for sure.
Lady wrestlers included. They could beat up most men in a real fight!

Undertaker just keeps ticking away & performs well after so many years in the ring.
These guys are great actors but are tough.
