The times I've watched him play which is very limited, was not impressed at all.
Possibly in a new area & city he will totally have a refocus & play great. Hope so.

If he plays average expect the boo birds to get loud & louder.

Over all think it is not a good move.
We need hard nose guys that have play making & scoring skills & not afraid to go to the net & knock rebounds.
( lost Kesler our sniper only makes the problem even greater. )

LA Kings type of guys.

Interesting free agency signings this year eh.   We went from Luongo to Schneider to Miller. I do believe you need to have a full fledged bonafide starter in net who can steal a few games for you.   Lack is on his way but may not be there yet.  Miller was that guy, at times,a few years back not sure now though.  Time will tell. One thing for sure is its gonna be a long few years.  The West is just so good right now and getting better.

Have to agree with your points. It's lots of pressure for Lack to be the #1 guy.
Vet in the nets to share it. ( pressure )
The puck stopper has to be the very most critical position & only teams that have great goaltending go far into the playoffs.
Something like  a QB in football so is the goalie.

To play it smart if I were the coach ,if the team wins the goalie gets to start the next game,lose then the back up guy starts.
It's not a perfect method as a goalie may of played super but lost nevertheless it adds another dimension in minds of the goalies as it sets up an excitement to get a W as it's 2 pts & another start. Possibly it may create a goalie to get hot & win 5-7 games. They like to play & keep W's & he gets to keep starting. The other guy sits. If the guy sits for 5 games on the bench & finally gets his chance you can sure bet he will be extra ready to play well in his upcoming start.

If it's tie at the end of regulation & overtime the goalie earns another trip to the net next game regardless of outcome in the shoot out.

As far as the past goalie crap-o unreal !!! Both goalies gone & for the next 8-10 years Canucks ( fans $$$ ) have to keep paying Luongo $800,000 !!!!!!!

Because of it we got peanuts for Kesler.

Yes i do prefer the Schneider over what we have now. Even Luongo for that matter, for what we are paying now might as well kept him. Anyways moving on. Benning not shy on pulling the trigger though.  Hope it all works out.  We have to get through LA Kings, Anaheim or Chicago.  Scary when Mike Richards cant even crack LA's top 3 lines.  Anaheim has Getzlaff/Kesler/Cogliangelo for their centers.  Gonna be tough.
