Beach Fishing for Pinks
« on: June 27, 2009, 10:41:31 AM »

Ok so now that we live in Langley I want to give beach fishing a try for pinks this year. Is it worth trying between Ladner and White Rock or am I just dreaming? I have fly rods from a 3wt up to an 8 wt and just about everything in between. Not looking for anyones secret spot just weather I should put my efforts into fishing the Fraser for them or if Ocean Beach fishing is possible.
Thanks

Ross

I live around langley as well and agree that the lower fraser is a much better bet to get into some pinks. Twobit, Poplar and Duncan bar are all within 3 minutes of each other, so there is quite a few options out in fort langley if one spot is too crowded or not working for you.

Pinks travel close to shore in the lower Fraser so if you can find a beach area they will be in casting range. Travelling pinks usually show themselves  at the surface.
