Too much for too little. Key players are fine but hosed on the supporting cast.

Sure Florida would want a goalie back when trading their #1, so give em Cloutier. Replacing Cloutier as #1 forces a Cloutier trade anyway. So we now have another couple headaches in having to move Cloutier as keeping him now makes no sense and we are back in the same situation we have been for years without any kind of a proven and reliable back-up (which is what Auld was).

Don't know much about the incoming kid on defence but I know he's a Czech so our back end just got softer once again. It looked like Allen was turning into that stay at home physical d-man we needed and now he is replaced by a marshmellow.

Glad to be getting Luongo. Sad to see Bert go, I think he'll rebound and we will miss his big body up front scoring or not. No problem with this part of the trade but the rest is one-sided and only makes sense for Florida.

Darnit Chris, you beat me to it!!! ;D  Well, I guess we will have to see how it works out.  Luongo, in my opinion is top 2 goalies in the league, so I don't mind that part at all!!  As for thew rest of it, like I said, we will have to wait and see how the rest of the off season unfolds!!  Should be pretty interesting!! ;) :)

Sad to see Bert traded but he was way too distracted here. It's good to see the Canucks are addressing the most important thing and that's getting a bona fide goaltender. Hopefully Nonis will be able to sign him. Krajicek should be Ok because he's a good puck moving guy who can play the point on the powerplay. He's not as tough as Allen but he is a lot quicker and  will likely replace Jovo. I think Allen became expendable because Luc Bourdon will be added to the team next year. I won't miss Auld at all, but I will say he was a great backup goalie.

Allen and Auld were both RFA's in need of serious raises. Good riddance, nothing we can't easily replace. This "kid" we're getting in return happens to be a very mobile 23 year old defensemen with a lot of upside and is not a liability.

I personally think it is the worst trade in Canuck history and we will be regretting this for years to come.. maybe Bertuzzi had become a cancer in the canucks organization ... but he is still a top ten player in the league, I can't believe Nonis got conned into throwing a #1 goalie and a great defensmen in there aswell.. wtf???
Auld has the potential to be one of the if not the top goalie in the league, Bertuzzi is a player that nobody can handle when he is on his game and Allen is a top four defenseman!!!!  Jesus, doesn't anyone else see how awful of a trade this was????????  Even Quinn wouldn't have made this big of a blunder!!!!

Rick oh Rick...Auld a top goaltender LMAO!!! He never even recorded a shutout last year. Luongo has a career .918 SA% and is if not the best a top 3 goaltender in the league. Put him on a team that has a chance and you will see him put up some gawdy numbers. Auld never just won games on his own last year, Luongo steals games on his own. I like Allen as well but he only had 17 points and was +4 he is a steady stay at home defenseman but not a stellar player. In this new NHL you need speed and good hands even on defense. Bertuzzi has only had 2 seasons with 80+ points and last year he was -17!!! He was floating all year and was a complete liability, not including all those costly penalties he took. We got a great deal. Vancouver gets a TRUE #1 goaltender for the first time in franchise history. Anyone that says Richard Brodeur or Kirk McLean were number ones I can argue that quite easily. They both had one good career year in their entire playing career which does not make them a franchise goalie.

This is Cam Neely all over again.. a very bad trade, right now it may look good on paper but it will come back and bit them in the my friend!!!!!!  they gave up way too much for way too little, I am not saying that he is not a great goalie.. but they gave up way too much to get him...  I hope I am wrong but I have this feeling I am not :(

why all of these great guys. bertuzzi had a slow year, could be improved through next year. allen was a very physical defensemen who i thought brought a lot to the team. also i think auld has the potential to be a great goalie, and should have stayed to be the back up.

jovo should have gone to florida along with cloutier once hes not injured. i know jovo would be more happy playing in florida cause thats where he lives. his family is done there, and i believe he shoulda gona down there.

but what the heck, we got LUONGO ;D 8)

We could not trade Jovo. He is a free agent and can sign where ever he wants.
