Vedder opening next week

Has anyone been up to the Vedder River to check condition for opening day?

High, low or clear or maybe even perfect condition.

Any report will be appreciated.

If the fraser doesn't hurry up and get in shape methings the vedder will be busy opening weekend...  :)

Yeah, the Vedder is pretty much how you would exspect it to be right now. Being not overly low or high, and is in the best fishing shape! Super clear with the nice green colour to the depths. Cant wait for opening!

how high or low would u say ud go on opening day.. ive never fished the vedder this early but i just got a new set up and i ought to try it...any info would be greatly appreciated

You will run into lots of steelhead smolts in the lower as this is were they release them. Not sure how far upstream the last drop point is.

Arnt hatchery steelhead smolts released from the hatchery, so they later return to the hatchery as adults from their instinces?

Thanks chris i appreciated the response...i guess ill be there on the 1st.. that pic biff is very helpful thanks bro.. looks like that incoming flow on the upper right of the pic could develop a little pool where those springs love to sit in  ;)
