Slipped out after a duck hunt this morning and found the water with a little color in it, but was surprised to have 2 coho jacks on and missed a few, darn circle hooks, off they go now.

I didn't realize there were fishermen out there that actually use circle hooks.

The water level chart does not show significant rise after the rain.

Conditions improved from last night but only one bite for me. Saw the odd chum taken. All I found was a ghost net in a log jam will contact FOC to remove or Dave and I can get it on our cleanup next week.

I have noticed a abandoned homeless camp just above the Crossing bridge on a sandbar between Sweltzer creek and the main stem. Lots of garbage left behind and possibly drug use paraphernalia. This really makes me angry.

I visited the site you speak of yesterday and spoke to the resident who was moving his stuff he wanted, he was even moving a welder out. Not sure why he would have a welder out there. Of course a lot of these camps are a location to take stolen stuff first and then sold later etc.. I saw him taking the welder across Sweltzer later. I told him we are planning to clean this up before the next highwater event that happened a few weeks ago and washed through the camp somewhat.

If the water does not get too high again with another round of rain which is forecast on Sunday night along with the Pineapple Express we have a cleanup crew ready to clean it up this week. Thanks to the Chilliwack Vedder Cleanup Society for putting this together..

Of course the CVRCS has been cleaning up this watershed since 2002.

A lot of rain is being forecasted in the next 24 hours. Conditions most likely will not be favourable this week.
