Stamps,Esk. Blue Bombers ( now that Nichols QB is back. ) RedBlacks ( nearly typed Roughriders...the old days Sk & Ottawa were the Roughriders ..that is a head scratcher. Imagine if there was the Toronto Maple Leafs & the Vancouver Maple Leafs !!!! And other good team Tigercats. F as in fail is the Lions,Roughriders,Argos & Als.
5 teams look like they know what they are doing & have good execution & 4 teams just hope to do well each play but no overall leadership or desire.
Lions gave away Doug Fludie Reilly QB Harris RB.
Lions defense is good but when their offence sits on the bench most of the time...D gets tired & makes mistakes. Early in the season & Lions are hoping for first place. 2 W's & Grey Cup is theirs. Wally B last season. Lions got to throw the ball to Burham 40% of passing plays at least. The guy has moves to get open & good hands. Then when the D zeros in to Burham it will open up the other receivers & running game.  8 minutes to 1/2 time & it does not look good for the BC Lions.

As the QB goes so goes the offence. Yes lack of believing in himself & the play calling is not good either.
Very hot in Winnipeg ( S Manitoba ) during the day. 40's C.

Think Chris has a good idea. Lions state he is not ready to go but he was dressed in Winnipeg & assume he will be dressed for Sat. return match up? Why do they dress a guy if he is not ready to go.
But should he get in the game by some miracle he must not take off & run up field. He should not throw long bombs unless he leaves the running backs in the backfield to protect him. All he has to do is throw lots of 5-7 yard quick hitters. Throw screens...
If he gets the ball away fast he will not be a target to be tackled. Hold on the ball too long & WHAM he'll get nailed.
Remember when Lulay got his shoulder injury? They were on the 10-15 yard line & Lulay scrambled & ran for a TD, & that's when he got the shoulder injury.
Last year he got a start ahead of lack of performance Jennings & early in the game Lulay scrambled towards the sidelines & got tackled by two players. Knee injury. Crazy.
Both major injuries when he tried to either make yards by scrambling or going into the end zone.
Moral of the story is: Lulay should leave the running to the backs & if he runs go down on the field when any opposing player comes within 5 feet. Remember Buck Pierce ? The guy would just stand there like a statue & throw a long bomb as a lineman was two feet away. End result was like a Mack Truck crashing into a big box of feathers !!!! How many times did Buck P just get nailed "big time" ...2-3-4 x per game? That's why he suffered so many injuries & retired early. The guy had a great arm & threw so accurate but he had no skill to dodge on coming tackles. Is getting nailed BIG TIME 4x in a game risking injury worth completing a passes???
 Only in a Grey Cup & time running out & ya need the points.
Great QBs like Flutie or Danny Mac very very seldom got hit because they sensed the heat thus they threw the ball or they ran sideways or they just threw the ball to the sidelines...
Lulay throw quick hitters & let the recievers fight for extra yak yds.
Lions lose the return match & the media /fans will bring out their swords & start booing / writing neg. sport articles....pressure builds...changes then will be made. Jennings knows he will be under the microscope on every play. ( hey pissit pissit...get the ball boy to take some air out of the ball. Heard it works. Story in New England not so many moons ago... )

Been awhile since he had a start. Hope it does not take 2-3 games to get his game back.
Hope Lulay can relax & sleep well & perform like he can. Tomorrow's game just got extra drama.
Lulay is a starting QB & Jennings better in back up roles...he cannot take the pressure of starting.
Chris your prediction become true. "For Chris is a jolly good fellow !!! A jolly good fellow !!!..."

Lots of quality players now wearing the Bomber jersy.
Are the Bombers going to put up a fight? Or will they just make it look good not wanting to match the energy the Lions surely will bring to this game. Lots of leaders on the Bomber team so think they will not go down easily in defeat. But seen it many times. A CFL team wins a few games & then they play a real stinker game like they would rather be in bed sleeping.
Hoping for a real exciting game.
The Stamps have a super team & if they played last year's Grey Cup on a dry field & mild temperatures surely they would of beaten the Argos handily. Get snow on a field & the talented skilled team has lost it's advantage big time.

How did Chris know? Lulay a few days ago still was not ready to go according to all reports.
Chris says that Lulay will be playing & generate a W.
After that 1st half 17-zippo it did not look good.
Play man said Burham did not make the catch with zero on the clock at halftime.
Study the play & Burnham makes the catch but the D man in the tackle punches the ball out of Burnham's hands. Honestly it should be a live ball ...catch & fumble & if Lions recover it's a TD.
But as it turns out the 2nd half went the Lion's way. 17/17 & with no time a field goal BC LIONS WIN !!!!
20/17 unreal. Fans got their $'s worth that's for sure. Ex Lions nearly killed us again. Lulay took some big hits but still kept playing like a Timex Watch...keep on ticking....
FA Chris Lulay are the jolly good fellows !!! The jolly good fellows !!! No one can deny ....
Now if Chris is right about the future Grey Cup ............. Do not think FA will say anything bad about that idea Ha!

Two different game tonight. First half Lions were plain awful, can't tackle, can't cover anyone, questionable coaching. Season ticket holders in my section including myself, didn't really think the Lions were going to win. Different second half, Lulay begin to get his rhythm back, defence forced a couple of interceptions, held the Bombers on 3rd and 1. My voice is hoarse

Lions vs Ottawa. Watched the replay but only the first half. ( getting too late) Then checked out the sports report & watched the highlights saw how the Lions lost at the end of the game. Well it's an away game & very hot weather but nevertheless they nearly got the W. Thought Lulay played well but at times went for too many 25 so so range passes down field (1st half as did not watch 2nd half as mentioned) & his receivers were covered well. Result was a non catch. Result 3rd down & punt the ball. Lulay was doing great with the running & short easier to complete shorter passes. Then he gets impatient & throws 20-25 yder in a crowd. Guess ya can't win them all. Record 2-3 but Ottawa 3-2.
Costly penalties too hurt the team. Lions need to be more mentally tough it seems & execute. But they are better with Lulay at QB that is for sure.
