As of this moment, I believe ED got his Moby before the Coho came out.

Some interesting catches off Ambleside in the 'yak. Butter Sole, Flathead Sole, Whitespotted Greenling, and English (or Rock) sole, can never tell the two apart :D

3rd flatfish on right's a Pacific sanddab..note that it's left eyed. The other 2 look like rock (left) and English soles (right). So many rock soles this year..it's been a banner year for them.
We caught a couple of pacific sanddabs off a pier on the sunshine coast..this was in deeper water, which was most likely why we were getting them. The much smaller, more abundant ones in shallow water are speckled sanddabs.

Youre probably right about the sanddab but the middle fish was definitely not a rock sole. Completely smooth to the touch and disproportionately large head. Hard to see in the picture, though

He was caught at around 60-70 feet. Doesnt really look like a flathead sole now that I googled the images. Looked like it on the fish id site.
