Some interesting catches off Ambleside in the 'yak. Butter Sole, Flathead Sole, Whitespotted Greenling, and English (or Rock) sole, can never tell the two apart ![Cheesy :D](http://www.fishingwithrod.com/yabbse/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)
3rd flatfish on right's a Pacific sanddab..note that it's left eyed. The other 2 look like rock (left) and English soles (right). So many rock soles this year..it's been a banner year for them.
We caught a couple of pacific sanddabs off a pier on the sunshine coast..this was in deeper water, which was most likely why we were getting them. The much smaller, more abundant ones in shallow water are speckled sanddabs.
