Where to trout fish in Lower Mainland
« on: October 01, 2006, 10:43:18 PM »

Hello everyone, haven't posted in a long time... but would like some advice. :)

Anyone know of a good lake near/in the Lower Mainland that would be decent to fly fish at this time of year?

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,

I use to take my float tube out to Mill Lake in abbotsford , biggest trout i caught in there was close to 5 pounds, that lake gets allot of fish stocked in there , the lake isnt the cleanest but allot of people head out there and float around, lots of nice looking trout in there

Hey freak what's the water level like in there right now??? Should start getting good soon...never fished that lake...decent fish??

Moslty cookie cutter 8" rainbows with the odd brood stock boot dumped in. Years ago I pulled out a 17", would have been 18" but its entire tail was pretty much missing  :o

There are also LM bass, pumpkinseeds, crappies, brown bullhead, goldfish and whatever else the bucket brigade has decided to throw in there. Either way it's a bit of a mixed bag and its always fun to see what you end up with.

Both Browning and Brohm lakes have been stocked today with 550 fish each.
