Stamp R. Steelhead!

Looking to hit the Stamp River system for some steel in 2005 or 2006.  But which 2 week period of the year is traditionally the best for a float trip for metalheads on the Stamp River system? (Obviously it varies on water conditions, but what's USUALLY the best period?)

This year we saw some good action in late December, which is somewhat unusual. Unfortunatetly, we haven't seen the expected rush of fish we all thought the high water would bring a running. Hoping soon now!
Most years, you can generally count on the first couple of weeks of February providing loads of fun and action. At least it does for me. If you're thinking of engaging a guide (good thing to do when first on the flow) drop me a line, and I can point you towards a couple of GREAT ones.
