Sometimes like to do some web surfing on this site.

Many of the hikes take ya across creeks & to or past lakes.

For example check out the Mount Cheam hike.
Heard some even have seen mt goats on this hike (?????)

From view at the peak ya can see Jones Lake ,the Fraser Valley, & to the south Mt Baker.

There is a caution write up as it says not to stand too close to the edge at the top as rocks have broken away & people have fallen to their death  :o

Guess that is the only dangerous spot.

Or check out Wedgemount Lake .

Good info & pics ( even vids )

On the home page click on : TRAILS ya can read some general info on aprox 80 trails ( easy driving distance from Vancouver)

Then just click on the trail your interested in to get a full page info on it.

Must be definately some nice fishing spots to be discovered but just the beauty of nature is a big pay off in itself.

Maybe June July or Aug are safer for th high elevation hikes.
Especially this year with our late cool Spring weather BRUTAL.

Thanks for this info A-Boater.  Taking my missus on a few of these trips will provide me with the necessary 'good husband' points to fishing in the fall.

You can check out clubtread.com as well. Lots more trails with gps way-points on some of them. Just no google maps feature unfortunately.
