New Video! Must-See Interview with Corky Evans on Taking Back Our
Rivers and Province

http://saveourrivers.ca/video-library-mainmenu-29/334-corky-evans-video

If you want to know what the Campbell private river power program is
really about, you need to see this interview!

Save Our Rivers Society is pleased to present this 5 min interview -
at the public Brilliant Dam in the Kootenays - with one of BC's most
engaging political leaders, veteran Kootenay NDP MLA Corky Evans. As
he steps down from the Nelson-Creston seat he has held for three
election terms, Evans reflects on threats to the public trust and the
very social fabric of his beloved province from the Gordon Campbell
government. Discussing our rivers, forests, democracy, and heritage,
Evans shares some important thoughts on the grave challenges we face
today - telling it like it is in a way only he can.

"If you want to understand the BC Liberals, you kind have to
understand people with no loyalty to a territory - just a loyalty to
an ideology that is a market idea.

"It is simply a lie that we're short of power, it's a lie that these
are green projects that the Liberals are selling, and it's a lie that
it's good for the people." - Corky Evans

Patrick Kinsella Was Involved With River Privatization, Too

Patrick Kinsella, who has recently gotten some unwelcome publicity
from the $300,000 "fee" he received from BC Rail during the effort to
give BC Rail to CN, has also done lobbying work for Plutonic Power
Corp. Here's a hard-hitting article by Sean Holman and Mark Hume in
the Globe and Mail:

Kinsella(d): How to persuade and influence people

Thanks so much for posting. I have sent this to 25 people so far and many more to send to. A good idea to send to your contacts as well. It is not the only thing this present govvernment is giving away.

As well I have recently been told the budget for the BC Ministry of Environment is the lowest Province in Canada but I have not confirmed it.

Your Right Chris MOE got a nice cut this past budget making things even worse.

And just for some colour commentary  ;D
As far as I am concerned Glen Clark is a choir boy compared to Gordito.

Seriously though we need to get rid of the Liberals and all of their "privatization agendas"

I'm voting NDP.

The more one looks into these things the worse it gets. In working on the gravel file on the Fraser River the last 3 years I know how bad this has been handled by the present government, very disturbing.

Time for a change in BC as all government need to get the message that the public will not stand for such policies and arrogance.

I like how it starts out with him standing by a dam that "we own."  The Brilliant Dam, operated by Fortis, an American company.
