I don't think it will be 10 years.  I would say 5 tops at least I hope.
I , I , I , hope your right. If they get to the finals next yr. as PK predicted & if so hopely win ( remember the Bills football losing in the Super Bowl many times in a row ) I, I , I , will "eat my shorts".  ;D
Crosby & gang must be smiling in the day & when going & awaking from their bed.
Great team Nashville is but the big push they gave to kick out 3 great teams & the sorrow of losing in the finals takes a lot of starch out of a team. Plus not scoring in the last two defeats Ouch.
Plus an ex teammate getting the Cup winning goal....Ouch ouch ouch.
To get by 3 teams to make it to the big dance & then to get that last 4 wins.
Maybe Nashville just pushed themselves so hard to get by the Ducks they were a little spent / injuries to go totally full out against the Pens. That Duck series was a war.
Leafs Who?
 ;D
All these posts are for the Leaf advisor to observe & see how it's done.
Can teaching an old dog new tricks possible?
This is 2017 not the 1960s  ;)
On the other hand..... Is there any good recent news on the Maple Leafs?

Leafs when playing sure were into a lot of OT games.
When the Leafs did play what comes to mind....let's see...
Punch behind the bench with a dress hat on.
Ron Ellis skating over the blue line & taking a slat shoot. He never seemed to score much on that shot.
McDonald Sittler & Tiger line. Bower making a save. Owner Harold Ballard sitting high up & looking down at the game. Keon on the ice looking serious ad always. Pat Quinn skating slower than other players but a fan favourite. Red Kelly as their coach. Ulman,Pulford,Braun ( another slow guy ) Armstrong,Turnbell,Eddie Shack skating like the wind & big hairy thing under his nose,Paul Henderson,Salming a great D man,Frank Mchovolach The Big M,.....are just some of the Leafs that come to mind. On Hockey Night in Canada in the 60's when the Canadians vs Maple Leafs played on a Sat night if was the talk of Canada. Esso & CPR tv commercials. Howie Meeker explaining on his prompter what happened on this or that play. He 'd get so excited & say something like. " Jimmie Gee Cricket. "
Those were the days. Oh ya the players were making $50,000 or something like that back then.
Wonder who will win between Las Vegas & Toronto next season ?

TO has a better chance than the Canucks.
Notice how Linden looks a little greyer.
From smiles & optimistic look to now very serious & soon a twitch.
Kinda like a USA Pres. After a term.
Mr Matthews is a class act.
Very articulate when accepting his reward for his great play.
FA is so right. Takes more than one super star to get the Cup.
Ask Mr Russia of the Caps.

That was an unexpected pick - BUT - he has some chemitry with Dahlin the other Sedin in waiting so it may work out. Somebody beter make that kid a few sandwiches though. 165 pounds and 6 feet is pretty scrawny. Maybe they can trade Edler for some pizzas to feed him. ;)
