I've seen white people illegally netting too, in Richmond. Who cares, it doesn't affect you.

Communal and ceremonial opening times and catch reports of Lower Fraser First Nations can always be found on this page. The opening time pages are updated on a weekly basis.

The Sto:lo groups requested FSC fisheries to catch the approximately 20K remaining sockeye allocation. This was the last opening given before the Thompson River coho conservation closure comes into effect on September 8th.

so in the notice they issued , FN0662, issued September 6th that stated the following: QUOTE:
First Nations targeted Fraser River sockeye fisheries in the Fraser River above
Sawmilll Creek are continuing; fisheries below Sawmill Creek are currently
closed and further opportunities are not anticipated.
So we are to be of the understanding that DFO is full of crap, not to be trusted and thier word is generally worth buttkiss. They issue a notice like this, then A FREAKIN DAY LATER THEY BACKPEDDLE AND ALLOW ANOTHER FN FISHERY!!!!!

Rod, I have a lot of respect for you and your opinions on all this but man.... you are giving DFO too much credit.... don't be fooled into taking thier side on this. This very situation that caused me to post this PROVES that those running this show are absolutely out to freakin lunch and are not doing the job us TAX PAYERS pay them to do. And they are a bunch of cowardly liars as well.
FN 0662 proves that.

I would love for someone to post the contact info for every member of the fraser river panel and the local dfo members involved in the finilization of the decisions that are made and being reflected in the sockeye updates. I am going to make it a personal agenda of mine to be a VERY LARGE pain in thier my friend. I will not be one of the majority of anglers who sit back and allow beuraucracy (spelling?) to dictate this kind of horsesh*t.

My original concern was the title of this thread. Lately too many times speculations turn into facts, which make people rant. The concerns on the contradiction between the opening and conservation of T coho and steelhead have already been made to DFO through SFAC.
