London Landing (June 18th)
« on: May 30, 2005, 07:17:38 PM »

Hey Rodney,

Haha, I'm so glad my parents are gonna let me come to the event that day. But I have a few questions. Sorry for asking so much. When does it start again? What if it rains? I'm not hoping to rain, but just wondering what woould happen if it rains. Do I need to bring anything? Such as my rods and stuff. And IF I'm allowed to keep the fish if I catch any. ;D

Thanks
Ian

So keen... I just got home from work. :P

The website of the event will be launched sometimes this week (translation, Rodney better gets his stuff together soon), the event time will be between 10am and 3pm.

It's very casual... There will not be an opening ceremony... ;D Basically, people come and fish, enjoy some of the workshops we are putting on, ask some questions if you have any, pick up some information on fishing, read the displays that we will set up. :)

Oh ya, selective reading, picked that up at UBC. ::)

Participants need to follow the regulations put out by DFO, that means you can keep whatever you want as it is within the regulations. There are no "event regulations" to follow.

Best to bring own rods and reels. There are rods and reels to borrow at the event if you are bringing friends or siblings. There are some bait etc to use as well. :)

Hey Rodney,

There are a few details I'm confused about:
1.) u said before that it starts at 10 and ends at 3. But on the site, it shows that it's gonna start at 11 and ends at 4.

2.) In the info section of the site, it stated on the first few line, it'll be on June 18th. But in the very last sentence of the info section, u also said that u're going to see us on June 19th.

 ??? ??? ???

Typos, they'll be fixed tonight. Like I said, it will be casual, start time will be between 10am and 11am, we'll be there setting up around 9am. Finish time... whenever people want to stop, 3pm, 4pm... The fish ain't gonna stop biting after we leave. ;)
