the s'quish near mouth of mamquam from 10 am until 4pm
water level a wee high but totally fishable, weather was WARM - t-shirt was fine. gorgeous gorgeous day.
lots of chum, no coho or springs seen. fish are biting on wool, mainly red, shrimp and some green colours.
chum are in decent shape but no 100% chromers...smallest about 6lbs, biggest a nice 14 pound buck...too many hooked to recall all. definitely some keepers but I still have lots of fish in the freezer,
nice scene change from the vedder...and the water level should improve to the weekend...
deed for the day....
we came upon an isolated pool of water about 20 feet long and 10 feet wide (likely a result of the recent rains and following receding of water)...the small pool had about 20 stuck chum in it. most of the fish were still in excellent shape with a bunch of females and males...we lifted them out and transported back to river about 10 feet away from the pool itself. ironicallu saw quite a few fisherman walk by it and do nothing at all...oh well, the chum were quite excited to be back in the river again....i know they are only chum and lots of them, but it just seemed wrong to let them die like that...
