Trump is a fascist, a racist and a liar. He cares only about himself. Within reason, I couldn’t imagine a worse president.

Not sure that’s the case. While Trump’s claim the ANTIFA is a tool/tactic of the Democrats is untrue, ATIFA does exist, from what I have read. Yes, it doesn’t appear to be an organized organization (it has been referred to as a “loose movement”), it is an entity with roots in Europe, and more recently in North America.

Perhaps you are referring Trump’s threat to designate it as a terrorist organization, when it is not an organization as it doesn’t have a clear leader, structure or member roles.

Or are we agreeing?

The history of ANTIFA is that it was an organization formed by a coalition of leftists (communist and socialist) in Wiemar Germany a few years before  the Nazis came to power. It's purpose was to defend such groups from the violent attacks of Nazi Brown shirts at rallies. ANTIFA was quickly penetrated by the Nazis who once in generally attacked, injured and often killed just about anyone under the ANTIFA banner. Hitler and other Nazi leaders used their own surreptitious violence via the group to paint is as malevolent violent force; ie "Terrorist" Once he came to power Hitler banned ANTIFA, the first of many political movements and parties that were outlawed.

There has been no ANTIFA anywhere until the Trump administration and a few ANTIFA signs appeared at supposedly leftist opposition demonstrations. Who the people who brought these signs were unknown. There is no existing ANTIFA organization, loose or otherwise. What is known that right wing groups that support Trump have used similar tactics to the German Nazis of the late 20s and early 30s namely inciting violence at rallies by "leftist" rallies. I am sure we can all add 2 and 2.

FAKE NEWS

Totally not the truth. Look back over the past 4 year at what he has accomplished for the American people and you'll see that the statement you provided is NOT rooted in any facts at all.

FAKE NEWS

Totally not the truth. Look back over the past 4 year at what he has accomplished for the American people and you'll see that the statement you provided is NOT rooted in any facts at all.

You say he's not a fascist, but he used the US military on US citizens for a photo op.

You say he's not a racist, but he calls his opponents names like "Pocahontas", and questions the birth certificate of his predecessor with no basis whatsoever.

You say he's not a liar, but he admitted to lying to the American people about the severity of COVID-19.

Give me a break.  If there's ever been a statement not rooted in facts at all, it's yours my friend.

He's an embarrassment to the world including the US. 231K dead and many more to come. Only cares about himself and his money
I don't know who is going to win the old man or orange face but some of your comments about him aren't very smart and with no facts.

He and a handful of his extended family who by the way are in positions they have no right to be in will hopefully go to jail if he loses.

Fact is that you jump straight to  "FAKE NEWS"....with all caps no less, speaks to either ignorance and lack of critical thinking...same same.  Fake news is precisely what all dictators call out as they aim to discredit a Free Press... which is one of the most important factors in a Free democratic society.
Looking back over the last 4 years is a nightmare that most do not want to re-live.
He has done everything for himself  and his family in classic autocratic style. His actions mirror in so many ways, past Fascist leaders.

He is a lowlife cheat, an imbecile, a thief, a confidence man, a racist, a dotard, a sexual predator, a tax evader, did I mention an imbecile.

I guess he did accomplish something... "Person Woman Man Camera TV" .... gimme a feckkin break....

I am not personally connected to ANTIFA, so I just go by what I read ( as I’m sure is your case too) but ANTIFA is not a Trump/right construct. Its’ presence in the US predates the current administration, however it certainly has become more visible in the past 4 yrs.

However, I don’t have a dog in this fight, and I think we both agree that Trump is not fit to be the leader of a country and needs to lose the election.

First I didn't say it was a Trump/RW construct. I said they made it up as an organization and some sort of threat to public safety. Let me quote your own rather muddled words:"... it doesn’t appear to be an organized organization (it has been referred to as a “loose movement”), it is an entity with roots in Europe, and more recently in North America."

If it's not organized then it can't be an organization. Likewise what is a "loose movement"?  Feminism certainly is and has been a movement but certainly not an organization of and in itself.

I can also refer to Wikipedia's rather amorphous first sentences on it's ANTIFA (USA) article:

Quote
[Antifa] is an anti-fascist action and left-wing political movement in the United States[2][3][4][5] comprising an array of autonomous[6][7] groups and individuals that aim to achieve their objectives through the use of both nonviolent and violent direct action rather than through policy reform.[8][9][10][11] A highly decentralized movement, antifa political activists are anti-racists[12] who engage in protest tactics, seeking to combat fascists and racists such as neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and other far-right extremists

An "array of autonomous groups and individuals"...can it get anymore diffuse than that? Frankly I think that many of those groups themselves are so obscure Wikipedia doesn't even name any organized groups associated with ANTIFA or even individuals. How can it  even approach being "a movement "? The article really just discusses the use of the phrase and doesn't attempt to answer is it real and who leads it and what groups or people does it comprise

Yet AG Bill Barr has described it as a "ramrod of violence" and there has been suggestions it be declared a terrorist organization and thus be made illegal. Can straw men be declared illegal? That is an utter fabrication.

This ANTIFA controversy has a flavor very much like the Satanic Ritual cults of 40 years or so ago. Tens of millions both in the US and here believed in these and were deathly afraid. Thousands of people suspected and even charged had their life ruined now it's recognized as just a case of mass hysteria. I think we are in a similar situation today.

BTW right now it looks like a toss up that Trump will be out of office.

Hispanic but not blacks. Racial tensions between the 2 plus the right wing feelings of many of the Florida ex-Cuban community is well known.

Florida makes it look very difficult for Biden to win now unless the Michigan and Wisconsin vote counts flip their current trend.

Disagreement (even when muddled) enriches the conversation.

Biden for the win!
