Powell River Crab
« on: July 02, 2020, 09:47:56 PM »

Heading over to Powell River at the end of July.  I won't have a boat but would love to take the kids crabbing.   Anyone know if they have any docks.  Someone told me they have a beach with a big walkout with rocks but then said that's where the sewage goes out of..

Anyone know if its possible to crab at any of the beaches?

There are Dungees and re rocks there...but PR is not super productive as a crab spot. Dungees like that sand or mud bottom with eelgrass and a little bit of fresh water. They are there but it’s not like off Fraser mouth...prawning is good though.

These docks won't be deep enough for prawns... would they?

My understanding is they have a bunch of docks there... do I just pick anyone and fish off or is there a public use one
