Alex Ross is a first year pro from Coastal Carolina. He's 24 years old, 6' 204 lbs. He beat out Maurice Price for the 3rd string quarterback.

Perfect afternoon for football. The roof was opened and there was a slight breeze to make it comfortable. The local Lions defeated the visiting Saskatchewan Roughriders 30-15 after building up a 30-0 lead with about 5 minutes remaining. Riders scored a couple of touchdowns against our reserves to make it respectable. Always nice to beat the Riders in front of their fans.

Like the way the Lions reacted after their loss in a Edmonton.
GM coach players wanted the W.
Plus that reciever  Chris Williams sp? Had his debut for the Lions.
Lions really have the tools on offence, with such quality recievers & running backs.
Riders back up QB has nice height, strong arm & he was on the $ with his passes.
FA you were entertained & got your $ worth that 's for sure !
Wally wants the Cup.

Return match only this time in Regina SK.
Last week Lions were on fire & SK a flop.
With the W under their belt the Lions were not so pumped up in the Riders house.
Riders were opposite...revenge time...we are pumped!
Was at a church meeting in the afternoon so when I put on the boob tube it was 20 something to zippo in the 2nd qter.
Watched into the 4th but with 7-8 minutes to go decided to stop the viewing.
Next week the battle of the floppers Ottawa vs Hamilton.
Bet there will be some shoving matches after the whistle. One wants the W & the other does not want to lose to a bottom feeder  ;D
Lions vs Stamps next week. In Vancouver I hope.
If in Calgary the Stamps should win.
Lions just are not that good away from home in big games most of the time.
Lulay maybe should get the start.
He looks like he desires to win more so than Jennings.

Lions were completely dominated tonight. Jonathan Jennings looked very tentative, his passes were floating. We made the Riders look better than they actually are.

Bombers knocked off the previously undefeated Edmonton Eskimoes 33-27 in a very entertaining game. Former Lion Andrew Harris was a stud with a total of over 200 yards in rushing and receptions.

Lions & Stamps look very sluggish.
18-17 for Stamps with not a lot of time left. Lions need the ball back.
Messam RB for Stamps has been a work horse just got injured.
He's an ex Lion Esk Sk Roughrider & I think he was with an eastern team too ????
Lions without two of their regular receivers Moore  / Burnham or however their names are spelt  & it shows. Jennings had been jawing a lot at his receivers.  They seem to be running the wrong routes.
Penalties have hurt the Stamps.
4:58 to go. Stamps ball.

That's it 21-17 final Boo !!!
Lions lose the ball on downs..
Jennings did not play very well & he should of been pulled.
Lulay should of been inserted.
Lions have lost their ROAR lately.

Lions had their fate in their hands but couldn't get the job done. The Stamps were rusty from a bye week.

Lions did have their fate in their hands as you said against the Stamps & they had a big comeback in  Ottawa & again with the ball ( fate in their hands ) to either tie or win the game but fell short ( ouch )
 3rd loss in a row.
Lulay gets the next start according to Mr Wally the BC Lion GM & coach.

Dropped passes, penalties, interceptions and a slow start did the Lions in. Self inflicted. Buono took way too long to make a quarterback change. Anyone could see Jennings was struggling, why wait til the second half to insert Travis Lulay ??

Lions returned to action following their bye week. They looked much fresher in defeating the Montreal Alouettes 41-18. On a sad note Lions lost Travis Lulay on the 2nd play with a suspected ACL injury. Huge loss for the Lions. Jonathan Jennings came in relief and looked impressive in guiding the Lions to their victory. He looked very poise standing in the pocket, decisive and delivered the ball with precision.

It was so sad to see Lulay fighting back the tears. He can mix his tears with the victims of hurricanes destruction Harvey & Irma...
Lulay was so so excited getting his start & this happens.
Honestly with the tools ( players ) at his disposal why take the chance & run for yards???? Big muscular D men like to nail the QB !!! No mercy.
Or if the QB runs feet side in time so the D has to avoid the tackle.
Not a gimme because a D man possibly will lay a "big hit" & take the flag.
Just not worth it.
In a tie game Grey Cup 3rd & goal 5 sec on the clock...ok run Lulay if no one is open ..... :)
As mentioned Jennings & crew & also Lions D came out to "dance tonight".
What's with the Al's place kicker ? Crazy style. Stands to a weird angle & then he makes a twist & then goes into his kick.
That weird style has a delay thus the ball has a better chance to get blocked.
Sure enough that's what happened.
Durant QB has no flow in his game. Keeps throwing wide outs to the side of the field or 15 yards down field.  With his drop back style he should be throwing a lot of 6-8 yard passes ( keep his receivers running short routes, & then mix it up with long bombs / screens ...
He should also run out of the pocket more so he's not just a play by play predictable target.
Riders must be happy with Glen as he truly is playing to his potential. ( happy to get rid of Durant )
Hope Lulay injury is not as bad as reported.
Sure great to have Jennings for a replacement.
Kinda like if Bobby Orr gets injured the Bruins replace him with Park.

In the other match ups Stamps best Esks in a close game. Is that 4 straight losses for Edmonton...who would of thought.
Plus Hamilton gets a W in Ottawa ! What !
Who would of thought that.
Not surprised by Lions & Bombers wins.
New coach for Tigercats seems to be a good fit. He sure looks like a head coach type. Something like a Keys Bouno or Matthews type.
Stamps had to score at the end to over take the Esks. Ouch.
"Watch out"Stamps as they keep winning thus they only increase the pressure to be the favourites to win the Grey Cup. Remember what happened last year. They are still feeling the pain of last years loss & they just may fall short again only to multiply the disappointment.  ;D
