As it turns out it was Crosby telling PK that PK has bad breath !
Crosby & Pens are much better tonight.
Crosby's skills really showed taking the pass at the blue line perfectly & faking deking Peka R for the goal.
Nashville is getting AAA Plus goaltending.
Both teams want this game badly.
Under review ...over the line?
Yep a goal.  Nashville  2-1
It literally could be 4-2 for the Pens if not for Rennie.
Game is not even 1/2 over so long ways to go yet.
Exciting game.
EDIT IN: game over  4-1 Nashville.
Yahoo!
Actually both teams skated hard & had chances.
Murray played average thus let in 3 goals  ( 4th goal open net ) & on the other hand Rennie played "super" thus only let in 1.
Nice Mike Fisher birthday present.
If Rinnie can keep playing "super" & Preds keep skating hard they have a very very good chance to be champs in 2016/17. Best 2/3 now.
Pens are the defending champions  & have the top prize & rings already.
To win it again will make this group & Crosby Malkin etc...into an extra special team / players...make it 3 Cups in recent years. But Nashville players & fans would be so disappointed not to hoist the Cup for the 1st time in their history. They have been a very hard working team thru the years & truly believe it is their time. Fisher is 37 today & time is running out.
Nashville winning it all is good for the NHL, good for the team & loyal loud fans.
Both teams have my respect as they really skated hard.
Series may just go to game 7.
Preds are going to try to avoid that by trying to get a W next game & then close it out in Nashville.
A game 7 would be super exciting though.  ;D

Game 5 in Pens rink & the fans are cheering like crazy before the drop of the puck.
Fans are energizing their team.
2 quick goals barely into the game.
Think Nashville should of called a time out 1 minute into the game to settle his players & put a chill on the Pens players & fans  ;D
That 1st penalty was a non call.
Crosby fell by himself.
Seen the Pens pull hair, grab trunks, choke, pull the ropes, foreign object hidden in thief trunks, outside illegal help, ( oh pardon me that's pro wrestling )
3 zippo at the end of 1.
3rd goal was the quality super sniper shot.
Butterflies.
( Nashville needs some motivation for period 2-3 ...win or we chop your heads off. )
Go Preds Go ! Go Preds Go  !

.      6-0 after 2 periods.
Gee remember when Pens beat Ottawa 7-0 in this yr's playoff game?
Will Pens better that.
Nashville right now :-[ :-[ :-[.
They will have to regroup  & get a W in Nashville.
Game 7 then in Pen's rink.
No one said it would be easy.
Nashville tonight has peed their pants. Boo Boo Boo.
Pens can play when they want to.
6-0 after two reminds me of the old 1980's Edmonton Oilers type of scoring over opposition.
( like  1980s team beating the Canucks or Maple Leafs  ;D ;D ;D

6-0 Pittsburgh after two periods.

Ouch !
Salt in the wounds.
Tempted to go out and buy a full bottle of red wine.
No,better say another prayer ...for the next game. Worked last time.
Crosby kinda reminds me of the guy who had too much sand kicked in his face.
Now he responds.
Nashville players & fans will need some poo pills.

One more win.
Pens got that win.
Very exciting game.
Great goaltending both sides.
Both teams fought hard tonight & had chances.
Sadly the ref lost the puck from his view & blew the whistle on the disallowed goal.
Would of been 1-0 for Nashville. That had to hurt.
But all in all Pens are the better all round team & Nashville gave them a scare. Nashville gets my thumbs up for trying so hard. 2 wins short of owning the Cup.
If it went to game 7 anything could of happened.
Any team that can get 3 Stanley Cups since 2009 in this present league is very very special.
( greedy rats. )  ;D

The plan now for Chris the TO advisor & FA the Canuck advisor to get GM's to trade either entire Maple Leaf team OR Canuck team for the entire Pens team.  ;D
Chris at least has got to see the Leafs hoist the Cup multiple times.
Keon that great Leaf is like Crosby of today's captain.
Don't tell me the Pens get the Cup again in the next year or within 2-3 years.
FA & I other Canuck routers get to see the Canucks lose in 4 & then 7 & then 7.
Boo!  Gotta believe there are heavy hearts for fans coaches white collars & most of all the Pred players.
Losing in the final dance.
At least they have the other trophy....something like a silver metal.

Hats off to the Pens.  Awesome year for the Preds.  Off season is going to be shorter than normal and yet way too long.

I think Nashville showed we are a fan base to recon with and we plan on making home ice advantage something that means something in hockey again.  Our lack of a true #2 center and the loss of Fiala who was really coming into his own really hurt our scoring ability.  We have a couple guys in the system that might step up into that roll next year or it is possible there might be moves to bring in a 2C.  Matt Duchene was a name thrown around a lot but the asking price was high.  It isn't worth breaking up our top 4 D as we have seen that they can be game changing, especially now that they are finally used to playing together.   A lot depends on the expansion draft.  Current expectations are either wingers Smith or Wilson, or center/winger Jarnkrok, or after the playoffs, center/winger Sissons.  The first two would free up a decent amount of cap space and make getting a 2C very possible.  The other two are extremely cheap contracts but are less proven.  Either way I think we will be doing fine next year and hopefully we can use this year as a jumping off point to many years of deep playoff runs and hopefully a cup or two.

Personally PK Subban is not worth $11,000,000.
He's a good player but he is more mouth than anything else.
Understand Mr Russia of the Caps is avaible for the right deal.
Trade PK with other players or drafts for Mr Russia.
If the ref was at a better angle he may of not blown that whistle.
Imagine if that goal counted.
Very possible Nashville goes on & wins game 6.
Pens sure did not want to get to a game 7 because they knew the pressure is super increased & like OT even though it's the 1st period.
Game 7 would be winner take all & both teams would of smelt blood.
Nashville fans chanting Murray's name did not work. He was cool & collected.
Gotta feel for the NHL president.
He gets booed no matter which city he 's in.  ;D
When Nashville was down 1-0  & trying to even the game,a Nashville forward was trying to skate to the front of the Pens net & he was cross checked.
The ref ( piss ant. ) should of called a penalty.
After all he blew the whistle earlier & stole the goal away from a Nashville team that was busting their butt off.  >:( >:( >:(
With the power play & goalie out ...2 man advantage would of given the Preds a chance to tie up the game.
Remember there are so many good NHL teams out there my guess Nashville does not get in the finals for 10 years.
PK the mouth predicts they will be playing for the Cup again next year. I do not think so.

I don't think it will be 10 years.  I would say 5 tops at least I hope.
