When Payton said that in the interview on the field "kinda thought" Bud may give him a doz beer weekly till he "kicks the bucket", not that he can't afford it.
After the terrible loss against the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl just a few yrs back it was good that Denver won this one.
Payton played smart though as he did not stand in the pocket too long & allow himself to be sacked.
He threw quick passes & screens. And after a punt was caught & surrounded by Panthers somehow the Bronco guy busts it downfield for a big gain.
If a person was a Panther fan they are really singing the blues but if your a Denver backer this was a heart pumping game. If just a football fan they may conclude it was not an exciting game.
Hardly any offensive TDs & too many penalties.
4 teams out there really the two defences & the two offensives & throw in special teams,kick offs punts field goal ...it was drama drama drama.
