A fox?  no wait, a Kitty ;)

Would like to see the tail before I commit, but the maxillary makes me think perhaps some cutthroat genes ..

Patrolling the local beaches searching for coho, scared up a few over the last few weeks.  Lots around, lots with lock jaw.  (I prefer not to use roe to avoid gut hooks).

Had a pretty epic Saturday afternoon.... Some of the pictures...

Since it's "coho season".. I guess I should throw some pics up from Sunday as well!

Coho are showing up late, so it's not too late to get your TT spinners to hammer on them! The black blade and copper body have been working well on the Vedder lately ;)

The know I use for the spoons has been well discussed on the "trailing hook spoon rigging method" thread on this site (there have been lots of questions added and lots of discussion on how well it has worked, changes, etc).

It can also be found here:

nice pics E.D......ive had no luck with the TT spinners here on the local flows. Crocs seem to work better no matter how much i use the TT spinners or spoons. Very fustrating because they are just awesome looking product.

Really?

I'd say out of the 30 or so coho I've hit in a dozen after work trips on the Vedder this season, all but maybe 5 have been on the Trophy Tackle spinners. Most have fallen victim to a silver blade/blue body combo and a black blade/copper body (especially deadly in low clear water like we had before the rain).

The rest of the fish I've hit have been on spoons. Mostly copper/orange 2/5. Only one to the beach on roe, but missed and lost quite a few (I'm rusty and slow this season apparently).

Your experience on the Vedder though, however is what I had found years past. I always found spoons worked better than spinners there, but this year it's been the opposite for me.

The rest of the flows that I've gone to, the chartreuse/gold spinners have been working well. You really need to change things up though. The other day I fished spinners/bait for 2 hours with only 2 coho to the beach, before switching up to the fly and hitting 10. Different things work on different rivers. Helps to change it up.

i'll pick up a couple of those this week....give err a try. Had more luck lately with twitching jigs as well. Its been an alright season anyway so no complaints about the fishing on vedder. All springs have been on roe and all pinks chum and coho on metal.
