In a ziploc bag with a lot of rice and seal it up. The rice will absorb the moisture out of the phone. Be sure to take any covers off that you can so it can pull out the moisture better and easier. This has saved a couple phones for me over the years.

Dry it out, wrap it in a dish cloth and secure with elastic bands and throw it in the dryer, make sure there is a think layer of cloth so it does not bump around too much. Then put it in rice and it should be good.

The heat from the dryer could cause the LCD screen to mess up big time. The crystals would explode and leak ink or whatever they have in them to make the screen all streaky.

I agree. no heat. not even a hairdryer. I done this many times. Rice works.
If the berry is not a write off already, make sure its completely dry before you try to power it up again because any bit of moisture can fry the circuits

Even better, silica gel that is used for drying flowers extracts the moisture to a greater extent than rice. As far as I know, rice doesn't actually suck the moisture out, it just keeps it away from moisture in the air, giving the phone a chance to dry.

well ,either the battery is dead the phone is toast or likely both
could not get the micro sd card to work either
wish i could put the phone on a charger to see for sure though.

 A week is not up if you try and power up you will fry it but it sounds like you didn't listen to the advice given

Not true. The advice given was valid and has been proven thousands of times with small electronics that have gone through the washing machine. Shortcutting the process almost always ends in failure.

IF I had ASKED for advice in the first place lol I would have weighed it carefully as I always do with new information.
If it was MY phone, yes I would have super dried it for a few more days just to be sure, as I have done in the past more than once with electronics, phone camera flashlight gps etc.
