I took the boat out this afternoon for some trolling/spincasting.
anchored by the trainbridge ( not hopedale ) the trainbridge that is close to the mouth of the fraser
Fished it for a half hour, 5th cast of the day hit a nice size wild coho.
Fished for a few casts more and hit some grooooosss chum.
Suprising that they are moldy already and they havent even hit the canal yet.
Big Big schools of chum moved in and had a blast on them all day.
Got into a hatch coho but lost it just before the boat, it wrapped around my boat prop on its last dash as soon as the net hit the water...
Guess it wanted to spawn more than getting smoked... too bad because im fresh out of roe... and it was such a beautiful doe.
both coho were in the 10 lb range and had a really fun show to watch while fighting them. Very acrobatic.
On a side note, the wild life out today was beautiful. Got a 1st hand view of a bald eagle taking a trout or some small fish. about 30 feet from where i was anchored. and another seal taking a big chum from us. and leaving a half eaten body in the glass clear water for us to view.
Waved at the seal and it rolled and slapped the water. so ill take that as a hello back
A beaver was swimming around collecting the timberfish i wrangled up on some of my casts. so thank you honerable beaver. you noble creature. you collect those snags for us and keep out casting area clean and sandy

Should be a good day for chum tomorrow as the water was almost boiling in spots with fish jumping.
Tight lines to all
