Steelhead Intruder Night with April Volkey!April is a certified casting Instructor, fishing guide, TV fishing personality and renowned fly-fishing columnist but first and foremost April is a steelhead specialist.
In the past decade she has swung flies in rivers from the Lower Mainland to Iceland, hitting everything in between.
On February 11th and 12th Pacific Angler invites you to join April Volkey of Fly Gal Ventures to learn her unique tying style developed from guiding and fishing with the world’s best. The flies: On the evening April will walk you through 2 flies, taking time to help you with each step of the process. The first will be a test pattern, where she will show you a number of specific techniques, honing your skills and explaining the design features that she looks for in a successful pattern. The second fly will focus on perfecting these techniques while applying your own artistic design into a fishable product. Each step is explained slowly and thoroughly, providing additional bits of information and alternative techniques along the way.
Cost:
$40 + HST and payment is due upon signing up. Payment can be made at the shop or by phone with credit card.

A material and equipment list will be available upon booking. Limited materials will be provided and all materials will be available for purchase at the shop at seminar discounted rates. Our Feather Supplier is bringing in his stock of materials and we will have a selection that would put a materials warehouse to shame!
