We are heading to Osoyoos for the week of September 5-12.
I have borrowed a 18 ft Boston Whaler for the week but I
have never fished the lake. Any advise would be greatly
appreciated. I have fly and gear rods.  Would like to get into some
bass while there. Thanks

someone started and identical thread on this last week...look there.  one member here apperently has lots of experience up there.  There is/was a Sockeye opening on the lake so look into that and finally talk to the homehardware fishing department guys...they helped me a coupole weeks back.

I am very curious as to how the recreational sockeye fishery in Osoyoos Lake played out.   Any reports?    This must be the first time in about 80 years.

As of July 25th the estimate of Sockeye past Wells Dam was 250,000. This return
exceeds the 60,000 sockeye past Wells Dam indicated in the South Coast
Integrated Fisheries Management Plan for meeting spawner objectives, providing
for First Nations food, social and ceremonial fisheries and allowing a
recreation fishery opportunity. This return is the highest on record since
1938.  As a result, Fisheries and Oceans will be opening a new recreational
fishing opportunity in Osoyoos Lake.

Recreational fishing will open for sockeye from August 13 to August 22 during
daylight hours only in the waters of the North basin of Osoyoos Lake from the
Hwy #3 Bridge north to a line commencing at the East side of the lake at the
mouth of Inkameep Creek, GPS coordinates 49° 04 13.08 N, 119° 30 19.03 W to
Inkameep Lodge Pier on the west side of the lake GPS coordinates 49° 03 49.35N,
119° 30 24.44W.

I have caught some bass in the summer at the North end of the lake. Also some rainbows trolling in the spring in the "middle and Southern end". Good luck.

There is kokanee, huge carp and trout.

with the cooler weather cog the smallies in the lake will start feeding and getting fat for the winter the bass fishing up there should rreally start picking up

ive been in osoyoos almost all summer and been fishing alot. Worms seem to be working for smaller fish from perch to bluegills. Ive caught two 8 or 9 pound carp in the last two days and been catching ones anywhere from 4 to 6 pounds. I think the kokanee are almost done but may be worth throwing some red wedding bands under the bridge.
