It's probably a good idea not to use gloves, especially on wild fish, nice buck tho!

Yeah I know, forgot to take them off in the heat of the moment. On a side note does your bright vest ever spook the fish?? I always try to blend in or wear drab/dark colours colours.

Nice. I altered the color balance etc of this photo to make the fish more stand out. I do this to all my underwater photos as I find they tend to lack contrast. See attached file, download it if you like it.

Personally I like the first shot better, although the altering makes the fish stand out better for me it takes away from the natural colors or the original.

You take some great shots Rod but I sometimes feel that you do just a bit too much editing making the subject almost look surreal.

JordsyU, I would use stronger language than that- DO NOT use gloves on fish you plan on releasing!  How many times must this topic be discussed?

as much as necessary to educate people. He is new to the site i believe with only 25 posts.. Take it easy.

Chromer- The gloves take the protective slim off the fish and get them exposed to infection and can result in a casualty.

Nice fish!

That picture was taken on a lunch break, while working for DFO. I normally don't wear the bright orange vest, although I doubt those aggressive bulls would spook at anything!!

Nice!! you get to fish at lunch ;) ;). I didn't think that big bull your holding is afraid of anything. Its funny beacuse I see guys fishiing low water on bright days even wearing white sweat shirts and they can't figure out why thay can't touch a fish when you can see them at 200 yards.

I realized I still had my gloves on after I realesed the fish and they were all wet. I don't think I'll make that mistake again.
