Good News !!! I talked to the guys at Reaction Fly & Tackle in Abbotsford, they have offered to do the morning sign in at their store !! excellent if you need to pick up a few things on the way to the river plus there is a Tim Horton's right next door looks like this has the makings of a great derby !!!!!

Good to see Reaction Fly and Tackle taking on the sign-up task in the morning.

The followings will be available for the prize draws. I will drop these off with Rick before leaving town next month.

• Two free annual FWR subscriptions
• Two boxes of assorted spinners

K never mind I figured it out

I think the best day would be Sunday Jan 20th
I am going to cement it in as the official date for our derby
please check the poll yes no or maybe so I can get an idea of who is coming
closer to the date I will also be asking what each of you can bring for food stuffs... last year our potluck lunch worked out great !!!!

I have talked to Randy at Hatch Matcher's today and he once again has committed to donating to this cause I just need to let him know when you need it. I guess the sooner the better. Just need to know where too drop it off. I also know that searun17 has got a commitment from another tackle shop as well.

Awesome stuff !!  the easiest place to drop stuff off would be Reaction, just tell them that they are for Rick and they will put it aside for me, I am there usually once or twice a week ... I have a few more prizes coming that will be announced in the near future !! a big Thank you goes out to all those that donate towards this cause !!

Ok !!! I figured I would get this idea going a little earlier this year and see if we can't improve on the already great numbers we got last year !! once again I am hoping we can get together a ton of great prizes and a big Potluck lunch !! last year we raised over $1000

I am sure we can improve on that number and really start to make a difference, and at the same time have a great time doing it.... I also hope that we can get into a few more Steelhead than we got last time

I am hoping that all of you will read this and let me know what we can improve on from last year to make this even Bigger/Better,
any and all ideas are appreciated, I will also be looking for a number of volunteers to help out with the organization and running of the derby..

I am thinking of either Sat Jan 19th or Sun Jan 20th for the date

anyone that is interested in entering or volunteering please let me know so I can get a list of names started

this post goes out to all tackle shops / websites that are interested in donating prizes for the derby

So I saw Randy again at Hatch Matcher's today too pick up the donation for the derby and he has graciously donated a Pioneer Dryking 3in1 fishing vest/jacket in size large. This vest/jacket is 100% waterproof. Value $139.99. I will try to get this dropped off on Saturday. Here is the picture of the vest.


Just a quick note. Hatch Matcher's is having their Ladies day on Dec 2 from noon till 5. Door prizes 1st Waterskeeter pontoon 2nd prize is a sage launch rod package.
