New Rain Proof fishing Jacket. Any Ideas?
« on: June 20, 2007, 07:23:05 PM »

So I am starting my search for a New Fishing Jacket.  I have a nice one, thanks X, but it isn't rain proof, so I am thinking that I should have one for those rainy days.  Any ideas?  Price is also a factor. ::) ;D

Thanks. :)

Trophy makes a decent one for around $100 at Hatch Matcher's. I got one and got to try it out during that rain storm in March that flooded my house and I was bone dry. It also has good sized pockets. All I need when out fly fishing in the fall.

2nd that one...and yes they're not cheap...but the jacket is just so light and durable when fishing...you don't even know its there! and when one wheres one....they look like a duck in the water! I love my SST jacket...and it was well worth every dime I paid for it!

goto Wal-Mart and get their rainsuit...both work well and at $70 is a steal...wore them at Roche 2 springs ago...never wet or sweaty...and it rained 2 days straight..and when campin' I just gotta stand by the fire with a beer for as long as I kin... ;D...as well I just find 200 bux for a rain jacket verges on rape....but thats just me... ;D

Hey Dave...Forget the expensive jacket and spend just $10 for a sweet alternative ;D ;D

Think of all the gear you could buy with the savings, while looking cool ;D ;D

Can't go wrong with the Simms G3, it's a lttle pricey though.

As soon as my Orvis wears out, I'm going to the Simms G3.  I have the waders and would fish naked before I fish with anything else.
