Do I need a fishing licence to fish at London's Landing?
Yes, you need a tidal licence to fish at London's Landing. If you under the age of 16, your fishing licence is free and it can be obtained at the event. If you are over 16 years of age, please visit Nikka at 3551 Moncton Street Richmond to purchase your licence. Tidal licence can also be obtained online.

Do I need to bring a fishing rod?
If you have your own fishing rod, be sure to bring it. If you do not own a fishing rod, we have a limited number of fishing rods that can be borrowed at the event. We also have bait, hooks, and line so don't worry if you lack terminal tackle.

Can I keep the fish that I catch?
You can certainly keep the fish that you catch if it is permitted in the regulations. We also have buckets and aquariums on the pier where you can put your fish in for a short observation before putting them back into the river.

What kind of fish will I catch?
There are many species that you might find at London's Landing in July. They include peamouth chub, northern pikeminnow, pacific staghorn sculpin, starry flounder, shiner perch, redside shiner and bull trout. Click here to see what these fish look like!

Will the event go on if it rains?
The event will go on if the rain is not too heavy. If it is stormy, then we may cancel the event at the last minute due to safety reasons.

Do we need to bring our own food and drinks?
Please bring your own lunch, as there are no food vendors at the event. Only soft drinks and light snacks are available at one of our booths.
