Fishing will be available throughout the day on both the pier and the floating dock. There are up to ten different types of fish that live in the waters at London's Landing - Peamouth chub, northern pikeminnow, redside shiner, shiner perch, sculpin, flounder, herring, bull trout, cutthroat trout, white sturgeon. Click here to see what these fish look like! Fishing rods will be available for kids who do not have them.

 

A fly is a hook that is dressed with feathers, which immitates small fish or insects that larger fish prey on. Visit the fly tying booth and create one yourself! First-time tiers? Not to worry, our instructors will guide you step by step as you complete your perfect fly.

     

Fish for the Future is not just for fishermen, but also fish artists! Take a seat, pick up a crayon and make your own colourful fish!

 

Fly casting is an art form that requires both finesse and strength. Learn from experienced casting instructors to improve your casting accuracy and distance. This workshop is opened to all ages!

     

Our rivers and lakes are populated with tiny aquatic insects. These make up the base of our food web. They are different in shape, size and colour. Pick up a magnifying glass and explore this unknown world.

 

The Seymour Salmonid Society will be showcasing some juvenile coho salmon that have been raised at the hatchery. Let the experts tell you about the fascinating life of the pacific salmon.

     

OWL is an organization that takes care of injured birds of prey. Check out some of the most magnificent bird species in BC at the Birds of Prey tent. Find out the threats that they face in the wild and our urban world.
