Two pieces of total BS. One, there is no 10'6" GLX Pin rod and two, you are trying to argue that a company owned by Shimano has a better warranty than Sage? Sage has the best warranty out there. No matter the reason you broke your rod they will replace it. If that is not enough they still will make limited runs of discontinued rods such as the GSH brown blanks for warranty instead of just sending you the latest model.
Fly Fisher I am guessing that you have never warrantied your 11'3" GLX? or the 10'6" GLX for that matte :Dr. So you are not making this claim from experience because you've never had a Sage rod in for warranty either. Maybe the guy at the tackle shop is the one who told you that the GLX is great for the warranty, trying to make up for the fact that the finish on this rod is crap for what you pay. The blank and guides are really the only two things worth anything. IMO its ridiculous to see a $600 factory rod with $2.00 plastic sliding rings that have been taped with electrical tape to keep your freaking reel on!
