Richmond Chinook!  I was fishing for pinks in my usual unnamed spot and Jorge hooked a nice red Spring!  Unbelievable....this is a guy who has been unable to land one pink all year!  He needs to go out and buy a lottery ticket for tomorrow.  Apparently there was another Spring hooked down river from us as well!  Looks like I need a bright yellow spoon!

I hope the rumor is true.  It's nice to be able to drive 20 minutes to catch pinks.

Looks like the #'s of pink in the Whonnok test fisheries are slowly declining this week...  Perhaps the Fraser is just about done...

went to the Peg yesterday and there were lots of pinks still.....lots of humps....didn't catch any doe....three FN boats were about and they were bringing lots in....
had fun...

This has been an informative thread with good participation from many members. I have added a poll to this thread which can be found at the top of the page. Please vote and indicate how many pink salmon you have kept this season. Because the season is not over yet, you can come back and change your vote later if the number changes. The result can be a good future reference. :)

Let them all get freezer burn and mushy in your deep freeze.  Gross.

I kept one for dinner... probably would've kept up to 4 or 5 if I had've been able to get out fishing more, but my fiance and I can only eat 1 every 4 or 5 days.

I'm actually very surprised at the bad rap pinks get, I think there are a great fish for the smoker and being there abundance I don't mind taking a good chunk out.

I've only caught & released 1 with a mild hump at best. Lots of good fish still there.

I too am suprised that people don't like them.
I cooked one on the BBQ on the weekend the same day I caught it and it was very good.

I've also smoked many this year and took some into work.
They've all tasted my smoked Coho and Spring previous and said that my smoked salmon is the best they've ever had.

The smoked Pink I took in a couple of weeks ago topped all those acording to the critics.

Most of my pinks have been from the lower Fraser so that may have something to do with it.
I doubt a big humpy from the Vedder would be able to match them.
