Take care when wading
« on: September 11, 2004, 12:09:06 PM »

There was a drowning in the Nisqually River, WA yesterday.  The angler was wearing rubber hip waders and got caught up in the current.  Very sad.

Even though this occured in Washington, precautions should be taken anywhere you fish.  Don't wade past your comfort level and wear a belt if wearing chest waders.  Especially now during the rainy season with less visibility and stronger currents.

I'm in Everett right now.  But grew up in Burnaby.

Thanks for the reminder Koho, definitely very important to remembed when fishing this season. Most of us would always push the limit to reach that sweet piece of water on the other side, but it only takes once to spoil that experience.

Timely reminder Koho. A fish is not worth one's life.
