Chilliwack River Mouth, August 14th 2011
« on: August 17, 2011, 07:06:03 PM »

Took the boat to the mouth of the vedder and saw some springs and socks but nothing in the boat.  Did see something unusual though...guide boat  anchored with 2 yellow kayaks attached.  Watching bewilderment when the guide boat hooked a 6 foot sturgeon and handed it off to the kayak.  Fully expected the kayak to roll but it didn't.

Hard core fishing...

Haha that doesn't count in my books! I kayak fish all the time, but I think if you are actually going to say you caught a fish out of a kayak you should have to hook it from there too. I would never go after sturgeon though from it, it would probably take way too long to fight it and cause it unnecessary stress.

The only episode of that show that I saw was where he caught and released a marlin. From his kayak. Pretty impressive!

Did you have a motor on those sandals?

Hooked a whale shark, used a beluga as bait.  Employed only by chiseled back and powerful legs.

Poor whale shark couldn't even keep up.
