Nicomen Slough
« on: May 12, 2009, 07:46:59 PM »

I have a kayak and was thinking of taking it up the slough fishing. Has anyone been there lately, and if so how was the fishing. Also I was wondering how far this actually goes, I looked on google earth and it seemed to go for a long distance. Finally if thats not fishing too well, does anyone have any other suggestions for rivers/sloughs that are kayak friendly?

Yeah I heard of some of the instances that you are talking about. I was hoping to fish/kayak in the same trip however, so the Vedder isn't the ideal location anyways (due to fly only in the lower river) I fly fish as well as gear but I will be going with my girlfriend who hasn't learned how to fly fish yet. The other place I was looking at besides the slough was just off Pitt Lake at Widgeon creek, but I can't seem to find anyone who has actually fished there. Thanks for the headsup though.
