Going to the Harrison for the first time on Sunday in a looong time - cutties?

Hi all, I'll be motoring up the Harrison in my freighter canoe on Sunday in case anyone is around and wants to say hi.

Anyway, how are the cutties?  I plan to beach and then cast and spin drift a copper/red spoon.  Any info appreciated.

I would like to know where to access the Harrison for those on foot.     Above the highway bridge on the east side?

Harrison stunk on Sunday -- not even a nibble.  A couple of seals didn't help things either.

I spoke to a retired commercial fisherman the other day.

He was telling me that:

1) After you catch hundreds of fish at one time, catching 1 is boring, and
2) Seals are the real problem with our fishery, not over fishing.

Who knows how much truth there is to any of that, but you talking about seals at Harrison made me think of this old fisherman.

Catching one would have been exciting.  The seals are an issue.  The fish were either spooked or eaten by the seal or both.  But the river seemed dead.  We tried everything -- flies, works, silver spinners, you name it and nada.
