What's the worst reel you've ever owned?

Quantum for me.
I bought a quantum 12 years ago (100.00 US).  At the time it was their best reel and I was pumped to use it.  I took it with me on a week-long fishing trip.  Half way through the first retreive, the whole gearing completely blew up.  I ended up fishing the rest of the trip with a $15 spinning reel from the bait shop.

When I got back, I contacted Quantum and they were rude and wouldn't even look at the reel.  They told me that if the dealer wouldn't do anything for me, then they wouldn't either.  Lucky for me, I bought it at Cabelas and exchanged it for a Shimano.  I have since taken the oath to never buy a Quantum.

I bought my son a okuma salmon spinner last summer for my son. Lasted 10 min and broke. Piece of junk. I personally like Abu - goood reliable, fairly priced.

I love the Abu Garcia with Embassader reel. Great reel, payed a fair price and it hasnt blown on me yet after 5 months of fishing it in harsh conditions. I do not personally like Shimano reels that much (Some are really great though). I've gone through 2 in the last year and a half, one was a corsair and i forget what the other one was lol....

it must be the tica reel that i bought in singapore pretty bad reel or maybe i can't use it ? lol

The worst is always the cheapest with reels.
Wal-mart spinning reel: $9.99
lasted about 3weeks which and about 30pinks, isn't as bad as I thought it would be.
Good for the girl friend, that way you can break on on every trip out ;D

B-Rod,,,,,,,, let me fix you up with a Real Reel some day and make your day. The whole Diawa line of level winds are BAD.....Dargs just don't hold up  . You truly get what you PAY for........

no name spinning reel i bought in the states for $15 so i could fish bass for 3 days. Everything else has been top notch

Quantum spinning rod and reel combo which cost me about $50. I guess it's hard to get quality if you're not willing to spend the $$.

Shimano Cardiff, I've used baitcasters for years and the guy at Sportsmans said I needed more practice.
