3 steelhead!!!! i think February 7th

well it was a day off after doing some exams on monday. So i decided to go do some fihsing on my fav river ;D :-X

so i started not at my usaul spot and i worked my way up pretty fast to my fav holes. so when i arived at one hole down from my usaul spot, i see 5 floats hanging from the brach accross the way. so i wade over there about cest deep and pic up the 4 foam and 1 basa floats and a handfull of other gear ;D ;D

so when i get up to the first run i extend my rod and do the first cast in the hole. After a couple of cast i decide to cast up stream a bit further then usaul. so after going about 4 feet the float shoot down. bam FISH ON!!  so it does a little tiny run and just sits there and i bring it in to my hands. it hasa nice red strip. i take a couple pics and lokk and see there is no tail on this fish ??? ??? it was half gone. thats probly why t nevr fought that great. :o

as i make my way up i start to get scared because i here loud noises comeing from the bushes. so i preceed slowly and i look up and i see 4 deer siting there drinking from the river. ::) ::)i thought it was a bear or something in the bush. so i walk up slowy to them and one walks right over to me. so i take her picture and so goes on her way. same with me

so i move on to the next couple holes and have no luck, but when i arrive to  one of my favorite hole i like the looks of the holes and i have a wierd feeling that i might get another steel ;) so after a couple cast my float shoots down again and FISH ON!! This one feel pretty big. it does a couple nice runs and i am haveing trouble getting close to shore. i snap a couple pics of the fisghting fish and when i bring it in to my hands i pull the hook out and it explodes out of my hands and there is no time for pics . oh well it would be better for the fish.  ;D

so i have 3 hours left so i decide to go back down and viset the runs i just did over agian. so  i retie a new leader and hit evr poct or hole i missed going up. when i get down a couple holes i cast into a little pocket  i missed and have never fished before. so to float cruises along and the float shoots down again. all i think that it is a snag. but the a fish shoots upstream and my float follows it. so i start to reel in the fish but it explodes up and down then up agian peeling tons of line . what a great scraper i think. i bring it in and it is around 4 lb steel or is a ranbow? ??? ??? i have no idea  what it is . so i take a couple pics and looked at it at home but i cant decided what it is ??? ???

so if you have any idea what it is tell me because that would be my 6 laned and 14 fish total hooked

can you tell me what it is?

Definatly a bow,steelhead have a squared end of tail,rainbows have a forked shape end.

I think second fish is a cutbow. Interbreed of cutthroat and rainbow. There are fish that looks like that in Alice Lake too.

The last fish pic looks like it could be a cutty due to the spots being all over its body and the spots being smaller and less round than  bows spots,also cutties do get the coloring that you see on this fish , did you see any orange slashes under its gill plates,good to see you had a great day regardless.

it was all white under the gill. i checked there when i first got it to my hands


but i a still confused what kind of fish it is ???
