Roe in freezer

How long can the (borex)cured salmon roe can stay in the freezer after zip lock bagged.Any ways to prevent freezer burn.  Thanks

A year, and the freezer burn helps to toughen up the sac ;).

My roe seldom last more than a year. I apply a piece of paper towel to the top of my roe prior to freezing.

I find if you freeze your roe with plenty of borax you should have no problem freezing it for a year.

What about freezing roe in water, as a solid block of ice??

roe in water =  very sloppy roe ,i wouldn't recommend it
