So I finally made it out to the river. I started up at Tamahi, everytime I saw a group of guys, I'd ask em "Are ya fishing or catching" everyone said they were fishing.. So with that Information I would go hi or low and get away from the crowds. I went down the entire length of the river, from Tamahi down to the Fraser at the end of Lickman. Met some really nice guys down below the Highway, they even helpped me out with a couple of spinners, but I kept reeling in the bottom, and everything got FUBARed. So I thought about packing it in. I went up river to between Keith Wilson & the #1, found a nice secluded patch of water, with no one around, on the east side of the river.
I had one thing left I hadn't tried yet, A silver & red spoon with an orange bead before the hook. I tossed that in a few times, and something hit it, we played tug o war for about 5 mins, and then he spit out the hook. I stayed for another 10 or 20 mins, and the rain started, so I took my cue and left.
So all in all it was a nice relaxing day. So some cool wildlife, heard a coyote howling (very cool), saw this strange little bird (not a duck) that was swimming in the river from rock to rock (very cool). Saw what I think is a loon (not sure, dunno what they really look like). And last the Raptors, lots of them sittin in the trees near the rivers edge.
I gotta get myself a good digital camera.
