Great... With this kind of news, government will be reluctant to revolk salmon farming.

Slaughter it, it 's not worth keeping and i don't believe the numbers. How much does it put back in employment and affects to wild stocks at what price. That is a manufactored story from the fish farmers for the gullible. When they took lead out of gas they replaced it with another mind numbing substance.

I don't know about salmon farm, but for oyster farm you only need a full time and 2 part time during non-harvesting season. When harvesting, it'll depend on the equipment available. mostly just a dozen part times.  But because these aquafarms usually located in a remote area, this actually provide employment at a very needed locations. Which makes it even harder for the government to scrap these fish farms.

And the government gets the tax from all the profit.
