Well I didn't know what to expect, but I thought that a day of relaxation would be good for me!!!!!So Searun17 and I headed out probably to damn early, got to the river at around 6:20!!! Sat around for a while, listing to the fish jump, there were lots!!!!! So after a while we rigged up, and made our casts. After about 10-15 mins, I hear a rather strange noise beside me. It was Searun gasping as he was reaching for his pole that was headed for the river!!!! The fish came out of the water twice, nice big Ho!!!!! Spit the hook!!!! Gone!!!! I still hadn't had a hit. I mean come on, what's up with that!!

At about 10am the bite really started coming on!!!! I had a couple of really good hits, as did searun, but still no fish for us. To that point we had seen about 8 ho's landed, only 2 hatchery!!! Finally the bite came on again at around 1:00. Searun hooked into a nice ho, about 5lbs, landed it. Wild!!! Not 10 min. later I was into one as well. Another nice Ho, slightly smaller than Searun's. Wild again!!!

So we are baited back up, about 5 minutes after that, my pole buckles like it never has before, set the hook, ready for a good strong fight..... Nothing. I can't believe that I missed that one!!!! But I did catch a hatchery near the end of the day, but I let it go as well. Besides it was only about 1/2lb or so!!!!!

Anyhow that was our day, I landed my first Coho barfishing, relaxed, overall a great day except for that my friend that killed a wild co then let it go, it washed up on the beach in front of us. Called DFO but they didn't show!!!!! Why do they even have that number on the damn license if they aren't going to do anything!!!

So we just yelled at the guy!!!! What are you gonna do!!!!!
