Bear below Bell Acres
« on: September 15, 2005, 02:51:50 PM »

Ran into a 200 lbish black bear today about 1 km downstream of Bell Acres on the Chillliwack River. Brownish fur, criminally sloping forehead and sadly, a bit of a limp.

Not sure what caused the limp, but that may make him a tad irritable.

Keep your eyes open and be aware no matter where you are!

p.s. No fish out there, and the water's all rapids, so I dont know why anyone'd bother going there anyway... ;)

I have a right to fish and a responsibility to treat this right as a privilege.

Ethics is your actions and behaviour when no one is watching.

A problem well stated is a problem half solved.

Since when was snagging just a question of ethics and personal choice?

that's scary. an injured bear is the most dangerous type. especially if its too hurt to hunt. i would inform the authorities.
