Why is it illegal to take roe from a dead fish?

Steelie Pink pro-cured roe, some fish are already being caught at first light in the upper Vedder.

winter steel and I got 2 coho today (one wild & one long line released).  WS caught his on a wooly bugger, I caught mine on roe.

We had tried several things in that pool prior to hooking our fish so I guess my best advice is carry a variety of things and fish a run thouroughly.  I regularly throw blue foxes, hammered brass crocs, coho/kitimat spoons, jigs, and bait.

I also often carry 2 rods to help make a varied presentation a little easier.

While certain presentations will get hammered time and time again in a run, I find that fish are as individualistic as we are so changing up is important (in my books anyhow) because switching up often triggers additional hits once a pool has been worked over with one specific presentation.
