Picked up a "Frontier" rod today, feels similar to a Loomis I traded for it (it had to light of an action for my liking), feels like a nice rod, looking forward to tring out on some of the Island rivers. Got a few trips lined up for the near future. Coming home next week end and will do a little pink and coho fishing while I'm home.
You do know that frontier is made by loomis right????? I hope that you like the pole though, they are very nice!!!

How do you setup coho float fishing rig properly? Is it float 3-4 feet down a 3-way swivel one end to weight the other to a 1-2 feet leader?

Thread the line through the float, put the float several feet above the end of the main line. Use a tooth pick to hold it there.

Thread a running weight (pencil lead with a hole in the middle) through the line, then a bead (to prevent the lead damaging the knot), then tie a 2-way swivel on the main line.

The weight is free running, and will sit on top of the swivel.

At the other end of the swivel, tie a leader, 1.5 feet or so, then the hook.

In the bait loop or in spawn sacks. Unless you harden your eggs putting them directly onto a hook will just pop them.

I prefer to put a hook through it and then into the bait loop to hold it in place.

no need to bottom bounce on the vedder ;). just use a short leader with some peach wool or roe. trust me...you'll be rewarded with a nice fish depending on where your fishing ;)
